THE STORY

Ambience is all around us and present at all times. 

Even when completely still in an empty room, ambient noise exists. Have you ever noticed when true, complete silence emerges from the depths of this noisy and chaotic world, there is still a faint but apparent sound – a hum?

Almost as if silence itself plays its own tune?

ASCENTIENCE is a musical project that explores ambience, atmosphere and soundscapes through the use of acoustic and electronic instruments, voice, everyday objects, and experimental sound design and processing. The resulting explorations are pieces of music that, hopefully, creates new worlds and lush journeys for the listener.

The music expands much further beyond just the ambient genre, with some rhythm, melody and structural elements to carry it through.
